Risk awards 2013: Credit Suisse wins top house

Swiss bank recognised for reshaping its trading businesses in 2012, as Risk publishes its fourteenth annual awards

Credit Suisse is Risk's derivatives house of the year – recognition for the bank's attempts to make its fixed-income division work under the Basel III capital and liquidity regime. That required the division's 80-plus ongoing businesses to shrink their inventories – in some cases, by as much as 60% – and to refocus on their role as intermediaries.
