Isda AGM: 2011 Margin Survey shows decrease in collateral agreements


According to the International Swaps and Derivatives Association's 2011 Margin Survey, released today at the organisation's annual general meeting in Prague, the number of collateral agreements used in the over-the-counter derivatives space has decreased from 171,879 by end-2009 to 149,518 by end-2010.

Despite this, the number of transactions executed with the support of collateral agreements has increased slightly in the same period, from 78% to 80%. The survey also registered an increase in
