Daiwa’s Blanchard relocates to Hong Kong to oversee derivatives build-out


Daiwa Securities has seconded Dominique Blanchard, global head of derivatives at Daiwa Capital Markets in London, to Hong Kong to spearhead the Japanese firm's rapid expansion in the Asian financial markets.

Japan's second-largest securities dealer plans to add 300 staff in the coming months to its Asian equity and derivatives business outside of Japan, while committing JPY100 billion ($1.09 billion) to its Hong Kong operation by April - more than doubling the capitalisation of its Hong Kong uni
