Reuters Adopts FpML Electronic Trading Language For Swaps Product


NEW YORK -- The planned use of FpML 1.0 by global financial news and information giant Reuters of is a clear sign of the new standard’s general industry acceptance, say FpML’s backers. FpML (financial products markup language) is the new dealing and settlement language standard for internet trading of over-the-counter financial derivatives contracts.

Reuters said in August that its Dealing for Swaps product, an addition to its Dealing 3000 system, will use FpML version 1.0 when Dealing for Swaps
