HSBC Midland: HSBC Midland has shut down its New York interbank foreign exchange operation and started a late shift in London, according to reports in RMO's sister publication FX Week.

Officials say the bank has cut 30 operational staff in New York and is centralizing its processing and price making in London (FXW, October 14).

Speedy Gloss: Wilco International, developer of the Gloss securities back office system, is claiming an "unprecedented performance breakthrough" for the system.
