Industry To Voice Disquiet On Basel

LONDON--The financial industry does not like the way the Basel Committee proposes to amend its Capital Accord to take account of op risk.

That's the message a string of banks and industry bodies will deliver to the Committee later this month in their official responses to the proposals, say insiders.

Industry associations such as the International Swaps and Derivatives Association and the British Bankers Association are putting the finishing touches to their written submissions over the next week
