Brookes moves to EDF Trading as head of European gas trading

A number of senior energy traders have left Citi over the past few months, a source tells Risk.net.

David Brookes, London-based head of gas trading for Europe, the Middle East and Africa is one of at least four London-based commodities staff to have left the bank.

Brookes joined EDF Trading in September as head of European gas trading, a spokesperson for the French electric utility confirms. In his new role he reports to the head of trading for Europe, Marcello Romano. Prior to joining Citi, Bro
