The development of a vibrant electricity market in Bulgaria faces several challenges as the country moves towards full liberalisation, delegates at the Energy Risk Balkans conference heard in Sofia today (April 28).

Those challenges included a lack of transparency, market structure and additional fees levied on power sales by the Bulgarian government.
