Hungarian power exchange launch positive for eastern European markets

The Hungarian power exchange's (HUPX) launch and first day-ahead auction is seen by analysts as a positive development for the Hungarian and eastern European power markets.

The auction was carried out on July 20 in collaboration with Paris-based EPEX Spot and clearing house European Commodity Clearing (ECC).
