Nasdaq OMX completes emissions contract offering

Nasdaq OMX Commodities has launched a new physical certified emission reduction (CER) spot contract on its Nord Pool carbon trading platform from November 20.

"The CER spot supplements our existing carbon offering and we now offer a full set of EU emission allowance (EUA)  and CER forwards and spot contracts," says Fredrik Voss, vice-president of business development and carbon markets.

The CER spot contract will be traded through the electronic trading system PowerClick and through Nord Pool's
