Biomass to save greenhouse gas emissions
A UK Environment Agency report has found that the correct use of biomass energy has the potential to save 3 million tonnes of carbon dioxide a year by 2020, but bad practices can create higher emissions levels than the production of energy from gas.
"The government should ensure that good practice is rewarded and that biomass production and use, which does more harm than good to the environment
