Yukos auctions face criticism

The latest round of auctions for the assets of former Russian oil giant Yukos, won by Italian companies Eni and Enel, has been labelled a sham by a former Yukos lawyer.

Robert Amsterdam, lawyer for Yukos' former head Mikhail Khodorkovsky, says the auctions are not open and free but rather organised sales at knock-down prices with predetermined winners.
