
US issuance set to bounce back this year, says BNP Paribas

The US market for structured products shrank last year by 20% to $51 billion as a result of the decline in the volume of mutual funds wrappers, according to BNP Paribas' annual report on structured products for retail and private banking. But the updated figures published by BNP Paribas in June show that the US market is set to grow in 2007. The number of products issued this year is 4,824 compared to only 2,273 for the whole of last year.
The report says that exposure to non-US equities
