Banks should act promptly to extend funding terms and raise core equity levels, says Bank of England

Despite improved trading profits and contained losses at financial institutions, UK banks need to take advantage of currently favourable market conditions to meet future funding and core equity challenges, the Bank of England opined in its Financial Stability report today.

In the 26th issue of the bi-yearly report, the BoE, warning that the adjustment from the global credit cycle will be prolonged
