ECB jumps into the EU clearing and settlement debate

-- The European Central Bank (ECB) released a consultative report on clearing and settlement systems in the European Union at the beginning of August. It is the most recent organisation to do so -- the EU Commission, the EU Parliament and several other industry groups have all produced working papers, consultation documents, roundtables, hearings and other forms on the subject.
