España ha tenido el segundo mayor mercado de titulización tradicional de Europa desde 2004. En la primera mitad del año pasado, el total emitido en este país fue de EUR41.600 millones, frente a los EUR37.800 millones registrados en la primera mitad de 2005, según cifras de la agencia de calificación Fitch Ratings. El mercado de titulización español representa actualmente el 23% del total del mercado europeo.
La mayor parte de los títulos emitidos en 2006 adoptaron la forma de títulos respaldados
