Emerging market currency-linked notes see strong demand in Japan

The initial catalyst of Abenomics in 2013 was always going to be a hard act to follow; yet stuttering equity markets caught many long-only accounts off guard making the past 12 months equally challenging for dealers.

Against this backdrop, banks that diversified their offerings to currency-linked products and hybrid offerings prospered. Deutsche Bank was able to capitalise on these themes better than its rivals to take this year's crown for Derivatives House of the Year, Japan.
