New regulation and the ongoing sovereign debt crisis in the eurozone are named as the key challenges for 2012 by the winners of this year’s Risk awards
Winners at the 2012 Risk Awards ceremony think regulation will pose the biggest challenge of 2012.
Speaking after they had collected their awards at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower on January 26, banks, corporates, law firms, central counterparties and technology providers all cited regulation as a key hurdle to overcome.
"Whether it is Basel 2.5, Basel III or the US Dodd-Frank Act, we're going to need to adapt and work with the market and the regulators," said Nick Howard, head of foreign exchange
