It has been a defining year for the Taiwan Futures Exchange (Taifex). Executives at the exchange saw their years of hard work in launching new products and easing access for investors finally paying off. Notably, for the first time in the 10-year-old derivatives exchange’s history, Taifex has established a leading position in Taiwan index futures, overtaking the Singapore Exchange (SGX), which has been diverting trading volume away from the island through its MSCI Taiwan Index Futures
