JPMorgan's derivatives and structured credit know-how keeps it at the top of the tree, but Deutsche Bank and Barclays Capital close the gap

JPMorgan fought off increasing competition from Deutsche Bank, Barclays Capital and BNP Paribas to retain its title as the best bank in credit in our 2006 Awards.

In addition to its victory in the title category, the US investment bank won three other awards for credit derivatives, structured credit and for trade ideas within the research and strategy section. It also topped the regional categories as the best bank in credit in Germany and the Netherlands - although Deutsche Bank and Citigroup
