Structured Products Asia-Pacific awards 2008
Awards
The process for the annual Structured Products awards for Asia will start in July, with submissions in the categories below to be delivered to the editorial team by Monday July 7. Rather than sending in a pitch document - as in previous years - this year we will send out a questionnaire requesting specific information on your structured products expertise in the Asia-Pacific region over the preceding 12 months.
Please send an e-mail address to which you would like us to send the questionnaire. Address your request to: Richard.Jory@incisivemedia.com
We will conduct meetings, either by telephone or in person, between Friday July 11 and Thursday July 24.
The Structured Products awards have been created to recognise excellence and innovation in the manufacture and also the distribution of these derivatives-based investment products.
The awards have been broken down into three sections. Our structurer awards are open to the banks that manufacture structured products. These awards include Structured Products house of the year, Asia, which will be judged on the basis of a product structurer's innovation in Asia across all asset classes, acknowledging cross-border as well as domestic product creation. Your submissions should include a catalogue of your innovations in the cross-border market and in each national jurisdiction. The other structurer award recognises innovation in equity derivatives.
Our distributor awards are open to companies that sell these products to investors, whether this is at the retail or high-net-worth level. The countries we will review are: Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea and Taiwan.
Finally, specialist awards recognise innovations by companies dedicated to a particular core function within the following categories: index provider, stock exchange and technology company.
The awards will be announced in the September issue of Structured Products and presented at the Structured Products Asia conference at a dinner on the evening of September 23 in the Island Shangri-La Hotel in Hong Kong.
