The past 12 months have presented huge challenges for international dealers, investors and risk managers alike in Asia, due to severe dislocations in the global and local financial markets - despite the relatively good health of the region's economies. Violently volatile markets provided a stern test of the risk management practices at institutions, highlighting those that have stood up to the challenges, as well those found wanting.
