A breath of French flair
The Island Shangri-La hotel in Hong Kong was the venue for the 2007 Asia Risk Awards dinner on November 13. Again hosted by former CNN anchor Lorraine Hahn, the event went down a storm. French bank BNP Paribas was the star of the show, sweeping three major prizes.
1. Henry Pang and Chris Chan accept BNP Paribas' award for derivatives house of the year, Asia excluding Japan. The French bank also scooped the credit derivatives and deal of the year awards
2. The saxophonist from the evening's band.
3. Mark Chan, Peter Clarke, Nick Angove and Ray Franzi of Deutsche Bank collect the Japan house and currency derivatives awards
4. Barclays Capital's Patrick Kwan
