When it came to choosing a worthy recipient of Asia Risk's 2006 lifetime achievement award, Foo-shiung Ho was an obvious choice. His achievements are clear from a career spanning more than 30 years at the Chicago Board of Trade (Cbot) and the Taiwan Futures Exchange (Taifex). After helping drive reforms that made Taifex one of the most dynamic exchanges in Asia, Ho retired in July after two consecutive three-year terms as Taifex president.
