Wei Wang

Dr. Wei Wang is a Professor and RBC Fellow of Finance at the Smith School of Business of Queen’s University (Canada). His primary research expertise is in corporate restructuring, bankruptcy, leveraged finance, and high-yield bonds. His research papers have been published in top finance journals such as the Journal of Finance and Journal of Financial Economics and featured in prominent media such as the Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones Newswires. His 2019 joint book “Corporate Financial Distress, Restructuring, and Bankruptcy” with Edward Altman at New York University and Edith Hotchkiss at Boston College serves as a definitive guide to the research and practice of corporate restructuring and distressed investing. He taught corporate restructuring at the Wharton School of University of Pennsylvania and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology Business School as a visiting professor between 2015 and 2018.
