Increased focus on risk management will spur consolidation in Dutch pension sector


Recommendations by the Frijns Committee to increase risk management capabilities among Dutch pension funds will be difficult for small funds to comply with, and will lead to greater consolidation among funds, according to the chief investment officer of the Rabobank pension fund.

The Frijns Committee, set up by the Dutch ministry of social affairs and employment as part of a wide-ranging review of how pension funds coped with the financial crisis, is headed by the former chief investment officer
