Ofgem tackles asset risk management

The infrastructure assets of distributors of natural gas and electricity to UK consumers are to come under scrutiny from the energy regulator in the summer.

In the second phase of its consultation – entitled Asset Management in Electricity and Gas Networks – UK energy regulator the Office of Gas & Electricity Markets (Ofgem) is to investigate the ability of firms to put risk management programmes in place and into practice in a bid to fulfil its responsibilities to consumers.
