UK power - UK electricity: John Evans

John Evans, director of Spectron, is perhaps best known for his contribution to the creation of a short-term power market in the UK. John was one of the first brokers of UK power when trading started in the mid-1990s and dealing was exclusively focused on longer-term dates.

While at Euro Brokers Evans started discussions to develop a short-term market, to help players hedge their risk better and stimulate options trading. He continued to push these discussions when he joined Spectron
