New insider dealingrules on derivatives


A joint trade association paper warning banks of the need for Chinese walls between their lending and trading desks is due to be released in early May.

The paper, published by five industry associations including the International Swaps and Derivatives Association and the Bond Market Association, urges banks to ensure that they comply with much harsher rules on insider dealing which will be ushered in by the European Union’s Market Abuse Directive in July.
