Fimat launches OTC brokerage in Tokyo

Fimat, the retail brokerage arm of French bank Société Générale, has launched a new over-the-counter brokerage service in Japan offering Nikkei options and single stock options.

Christophe Delorme, who had worked at Garban Totan Securities – part of UK inter-dealer broker Icap – as a manager of its OTC equity desk, will run Fimat’s OTC business in Tokyo. He has previously worked at Société Générale’s investment banking unit SG and at inter-dealer broker Tullett & Tokyo Liberty, now a part of UK stock-brokerage Collins Stewart.

“We have been contemplating further developing our already existing OTC business for a while, but accelerated this process when Christophe recently became available,” said Laurent Cunin, managing director of Fimat in Japan.
