FSA risk report highlights move towards guarantees


A recent report commissioned by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) has highlighted the appetite for guaranteed investment products. The report shows a “minimal interest” in high-risk investments, with a desire for security “far exceeding” any desire for a maximisation of growth. The report highlights a move towards products with “some form of guarantee.”

The report, prepared by Conquest Research, also shows that the less sophisticated an investor, the more dependent they were on independent
