High-profile additions to PRMIA 'blue ribbon' panel

The Professional Risk Managers’ International Association (PRMIA) has appointed the academic Stephen Figlewski and Stephen Kealhofer, one of the founders of credit risk measurement firm KMV, to its 'blue ribbon' advisory panel.

Figlewski is a professor of finance at the New York University Stern School of Business, and is the founding editor of the Journal of Derivatives. He has also held posts on Wall Street, in charge of equity derivatives research at First Boston Corporation and as an options trader at the New York Stock Exchange.

Kealhofer became a managing director of Moody’s KMV in April following the rating agency’s acquisition of his San Francisco-based firm. He has taught investment management and corporate finance at Columbia University and the University of California at Berkeley.

The 'blue ribbon' panel provides oversight during the writing of PRMIA’s bylaws and advises its board of directors.
