Solvency II is a common challenge for European insurance companies. Every company is going to have to implement the regulation in one form or another. Many will face the same task of developing internal models for the solvency capital calculations. So far, the industry has co-operated with the regulators to try to collectively improve and refine the proposed directive. So why not collaborate on developing some of the tools that will be needed to meet the new requirements?
