French pension fund links up with BarCap

The Fonds de Réserve pour les Retraites (FRR), the French Pension Reserve Fund, will invest €480 million in a customised inflation-linked bond index, provided by Barclays Capital.

John Williams, head of index products at Barclays Capital, explains that FRR is one of a long list of investment companies that have asked the bank to provide a customised product. “We are the leading player in the international linker market and have a breadth of coverage that no other firm can match,” he says.
