More institutions choosing external valuation

Banks are opting for external valuation to provide accurate pricing for structured products and derivatives. "Firms are triangulating values through numerous different sources, because there's a lot of uncertainty, especially with the volatility in the markets," says Mas Nakachi, director of corporate development at Calypso Technology, based in New York.
