FT Interactive Data launches BondEdge CMO/ABS Analyzer

FT Interactive Data, a provider of financial information and analytical software based in Bedford, Massachusetts, today launched its CMO/ABS Analyzer, an interactive Web-based application providing information and analytics on more than 9,000 US dollar collateralised mortgage obligations (CMOs), asset-backed securities (ABS), and commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS).

The new application is released from FT Interactive data’s BondEdge operation, a major fixed-income portfolio analytics system in the US institutional market.

The CMO/ABS Analyzer provides cashflow projections, price-to-yield tables, tranche-descriptive data and deal structure histories for more than 50,000 CMO, ABS and CMBS tranches.

“BondEdge has a long history of expertise with calculation-intensive fixed-income valuations, so the CMO/ABS Analyzer cashflow engine is extremely fast,” claimed Teri Geske, senior vice-president of product development for BondEdge.

The company also claimed it has already seen significant interest from risk management vendors and from both buy- and sell-side firms.
