SGX signs up for OM trading system

The Singapore Exchange (SGX) has selected OM to provide it with a new integrated trading engine.

SGX will call the new system SGX quotation and execution system for trading (SGX Quest), and it will be powered by OM’s Click XT product, the most recent in its Click range. OM claims the system is used by more exchanges than any other market product. It trades equities, derivatives, fixed income and a range of commodities.

The deal includes license, implementation and support of the system, though OM said there was no date set for implementation, saying only that it would be in 2004-2005.
