US G-Sibs post record secured finance flows in LCR

Q3 spike continues long-term shift toward secured funding and lending in liquidity stress scenario

Secured funding and lending flows within the liquidity coverage ratio (LCR) stress scenario surged at US global systemically important banks (G-Sibs) in the third quarter, with six setting records for both metrics.

Secured funding outflows in a hypothetical period of liquidity stress rose 9.3% to $1.33 trillion, the highest on record, while all other outflows grew only 1% to $3.06 trillion.
