Santander loan portfolio hardest hit in EBA stress test

Simulated credit losses among 64 lenders top €394bn, up 14% from previous exercise

European banks could face €394 billion ($457 billion) in credit losses over a three-year crisis scenario, cutting their average core capital ratios by 4.4 percentage points, according to the European Banking Authority’s (EBA) latest stress test.
