

UK banks’ RWAs return to growth
Latest Bank of England data shows first increase since Q1, 2020
Risk-weighted assets across UK banks rose £26 billion ($35 billion) in the third quarter of 2021, driven by higher credit and counterparty risk.
Figures from the Bank of England (BoE) show total RWAs for the UK banking sector amounts to £2.8 trillion at end-September, up 1% from the previous quarter, but down almost 3% from Q3, 2020.
