

On securitisations, Wells Fargo is in a league of its own
Wells Fargo has by far the largest exposure to securitisations among banks with more than $100 billion in US assets.
The 38 banks in the sample had 2.1% on average of their total assets in securitisations in the second quarter of this year. This is down 2.3% year-on-year.
At Wells Fargo, this figure was 15% in the three months to the end of June, equivalent to $287.5 billion of securitisation exposure. The bank remains well ahead of its peers despite reducing its share of securitisations from
