Solvency II delays have no impact on competition for niche insurance firms, expert says

The continuing delays in Solvency II will not affect competition in the niche insurance market, according to one industry expert at the Federation of European Risk Managers forum in Versailles.

Clyde Bernstein, sales director for global markets international at Willis Group, told delegates that niche firms providing specialist cover will struggle to be compliant with Solvency II.
