Portigon abandons AMA for op risk capital calculation

Portigon, the Dusseldorf-based surviving arm of the former German Landesbank WestLB, has abandoned the advanced measurement approach (AMA) for measuring regulatory operational risk capital in favour of the standardised approach (TSA).

The new entity, which will provide portfolio management and other services for the financial sector, will continue to use its AMA model to measure its qualitative operational risk, such as risk self-assessments and risk indicators, but it has finalised agreements
