Financial institutions should not be complacent about new European Union reporting standards designed to harmonise reporting structures, warns consultancy and technology firm Logica.

EU Capital Requirements Directive reporting (Co-Rep) will require common reporting structures and standards across the EU from December 31, 2012. The final form of the requirements is being decided in response to a consultation period that ended in 2010, but details are expected to be released at the start of 2012.
