Risk South Africa: Regulators don’t understand effects of curbing prop trading, says Barkai

Regulatory proposals to limit prop trading would severely impact market liquidity and many businesses would not survive without it, said Ram Barkai, chief executive officer of Cadiz Financial Strategy Group, at the Risk South Africa conference in Cape Town today.
