NEW YORK--Operational risk professionals from some of the world’s largest financial institutions are hammering out standards that they believe will lead to the development of an operational risk derivatives market, according to Marcelo Cruz, director of operational risk control at UBS Warburg in Stamford, Connecticut. The effort is an outgrowth of work by an informal ad hoc group of operational risk officials from a handful of the largest US and European banks to develop capital standard
