Citadel fills fixed-income role

Chicago-based hedge fund Citadel has hired JPMorgan's head of rates, foreign exchange (FX), secondary products and principal investment, Patrik Edsparr.

In July, he will join Citadel in a newly created role as the chief executive of Europe and global head of fixed income. He will divide his time between London and New York.

At JPMorgan he was appointed head of global FX last June, when the bank merged G-10 FX with global rates under his leadership. At the time, he was only a few months into a role
