Peter Davies joins RiskMetrics

Peter Davies, one of the leading developers of risk management systems over the past decade, has re-emerged after a summer break in a new position as vice-chairman of RiskMetrics, the New York based risk advisory firm.

Davies quit Askari, the buy-side risk management systems company he founded in 1992 and later sold to State Street Bank, in June this year.

He has joined RiskMetrics to focus on strategic product and client initiatives. "I think this is an exciting time ofconsolidation in the software industry and convergence in the requirements of different client markets," he said.
