PPF appoints new director of financial risk

The UK's Pension Protection Fund (PPF), which provides a pensions 'lifeboat' for ailing UK schemes, has appointed Martin Clarke as executive director of financial risk, a position he has held in an interim capacity since last year. Clarke will also join the PPF Board.

Prior to joining the PPF, Clarke worked in various capacities in retail financial services with the Co-operative Insurance Society (CIS), the financial services arm of the Co-op, which he joined in 1977.
