Product aims to improve on PowerShares S&P 500 Low Volatility Portfolio ETF using risk reduction


HSBC has issued a three-year structured product linked to the PowerShares S&P 500 Low Volatility Portfolio ETF. This product type is known as an unleveraged return as it has an upside participation rate of 100% and performance is directly correlated to the rise in the underlying. For example, if the index rises by 20% over the product term, investors will receive a return of 20% plus their initial capital.
